A homeowner in Willmar, MN was unhappy with his cracked, worn, horseshoe-shaped driveway and contacted Duininck for help. Mitch Oman, a Duininck estimator, walked the homeowners through the options and made a plan to do a new driveway in a teardrop shape. The project was made possible by the work and expertise of several Duininck teams including estimating, grading, paving, aggregate, and trucking.
In the process, Al King, Crew Lead, and 33-year Duininck veteran saw an opportunity to save the homeowner money. “The homeowner wanted some black dirt hauled in, but I knew there might already be black dirt there so we just dug deeper to reach it and hauled in pit run instead. That saved them a lot of money.” King says he keeps the homeowner’s best interest in mind by looking at every project as if it’s his own.
“We had a lot of communication with the homeowner. We walked them through all steps of the project then went over preventive maintenance so the driveway will remain like-new for years to come,” explains Private Paving Crew Lead, Chad Paradis. “There is a lot of pride among our crews when we complete a project and then drive past the new driveway that we built together,” adds Chad.
